Today’s featured work, [Interface War], was written based on the core theories of Paul Virilio, the philosopher who sharply analyzed the speed of modern civilization: Dromology and The Accident. Virilio defined modern civilization as a society dominated by speed. He famously stated that when a technology is invented, the accident specific to that technology is also invented simultaneously. His insight—that the invention of the airplane is also the invention of the crash—reminds us of the destructive nature hidden behind technological progress.
The line "Speed creates the accident... The interface is my battlefield" in the lyrics reinterprets Virilio’s theory through Luna’s eyes. Furthermore, the declaration "An interface legislating the world beyond the speed of control" sings of the commanding dignity of a designer who breaks through technological limits to become the law of the world herself.
